Pay Rate: $19 - $20/hourly
Schedule: Full-time; includes days, evenings
Location: Wooster, Ohio
The Road Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and coordination of service in the field, provides support, mentoring and coaching where appropriate to Operators, responds to incidents, participates in service promotions and events, provides employee training, and assists the General Manager.
What we are looking for:
• Monitors and provides support, coaching and guidance to Public Transit Operators.
• Conducts regular service evaluations, ride alongs, time checks and mobility securement
checks.
• Ensures timely pull-out of all revenue vehicles.
• Conducts routine inspections on service stop concerns.
• Ensures adherence and compliance with agency and company policies.
• Provides corrective action and discipline as required.
• Provides training and re-training as required to Public Transit Operators and Communications
Dispatchers.
• Responds to accidents, employee and rider incidents.
• Promotes a teamwork environment, and effective communication between all Dispatchers,
Supervisors, and Operators.
• Participates in community outreach events to promote the service.
• Conducts rider app testing and troubleshoots with the technology vendor as required.
• Coordinate problem resolution among Operators, Supervisors, and Public.
• Communicate clear direction and response over radio with operators and supervisors utilizing
established radio codes.
• Influences positive employee morale and quality customer service.
• Other duties as assigned or requested by the department Director.
Must haves:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of related experience in a Paratransit or Demand Response environment
preferred.
• Ability to work an assigned schedule, which may include weekends, nights, early mornings, and
holidays.
• Presents working knowledge of Wooster and Wayne County.
• Ability to manage and lead a team by example.
• Clean driving record with a minimum of three (3) years driving history.
