Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.50/per hour
Shift & Schedule: 6am - 2pm, Monday - Friday
Location: CampusParc at The Ohio State University (OSU)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks noted on the checklists and as directed by the facility manager/supervisor to ensure that all dirt, dust, litter and debris are removed from all areas of the facility.
- Makes basic electrical repairs including replacing photo electric controls. As well as lighting ballast, bulbs and fixtures, electric switches, and receptacles. Checks and replaces fuses and circuit breakers. Performs minor electric wiring installation and repair. Diagnoses and replaces emergency exit and emergency lighting fixtures and takes volt and amp readings.
- Performs routine repairs and maintains building plumbing system.
- Responsible for safety and security of company equipment.
- Apply oil absorbent to oil spills.
- Walk garages and drive lots daily to note and correct any maintenance problems.
- Pick-up and delivery of winter supplies, sand, salt, fuel, power equipment, vehicles, etc.
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance equipment and submit requests to re-stock supplies as needed.
- Operate automatic sweepers, scrubbers, outdoor equipment (such as weed eater), lawnmowers, or other electrical tools to repair or construct items, as applicable.
- Plow, or blow snow from the entrance or exit ramps and in areas designated by the Maintenance Manager, as applicable.
- Repairs and replaces doors, openers, gates and thresholds and performs other related tasks.
- Performs general masonry work and other unskilled minor building maintenance repairs.
- Maintains cleanliness of mechanical rooms and equipment.
- Makes purchases for parts and supplies with managers approval. Enters, fulfills and submits completed works orders in an accurate and timely manner. Provides general support in other areas and assists with set-ups during special events.
- Attends all required department meetings and training.
- Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance, and works overtime as required to meet workload demands.
- Report any known accidents or violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the local manager in a timely manner.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- May be asked by local management to complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks according to the company’s maintenance checklists.
- Other special projects as assigned by location management.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- You are at least 20 years old.
- Must have a valid DMV driver’s license, for at least 3 years.
- Must be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of initial and continued employment.
- High school degree or GED equivalent preferred.
- One (1) to Three (3) years’ experience in general maintenance or closely related field preferred.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively both verbally and through written correspondence.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment, interacting with other employees in a professional and friendly manner.
- Ability to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when working with the parking customer, providing resolution as needed to customer issues.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands: While performing duties of this job, the employee regularly stands and walks and occasionally sits. Employee frequently uses hands to hold and control tools and equipment. The employee frequently exhibits digital dexterity and eye-hand coordination when performing designated tasks. Employee occasionally lifts or exerts force on items, with varying weights of more than 50 pounds.
Work Environment: Exposure to direct sunlight, rain, and humidity while working outside for extended periods of time. Exposure to noisy vibrating equipment such as blowers, chainsaws, weed eaters, and other power equipment. Exposure to dirt, dust, debris, and odors. May experience minor cuts, burns, or other situations that may cause injury. Occasional risk of electric shock. Employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic, or caustic materials, and blood borne pathogens.
