Valet Supervisor

 

Pay Rate: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour plus cash tip$!

Job Type: Full-time & Part-time

Location: Orlando, FL

Shifts Available: 3PM-11PM, Weekends & Holiday availability may be required

Must Have: 2 Years Drivers License

What we're looking for:*

  • Help motivate and lead staff in promoting teamwork and a customer service environment. 
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints and assist with completing accident/incident reports. 
  • Assist with training, scheduling, and evaluation of staff. 
  • Assist local management with maintaining and/or cataloging all equipment, uniforms, and supplies. 
  • Reconcile daily bank reports and ticket logs and identify discrepancies as applicable. 
  • Maintain log of field bank transactions, uniforms issued, and parking violators, as applicable. 
  • Monitor cleanliness and physical conditions at the assigned facilities and report any safety or maintenance issues to local management. 
  • Perform valet, attendant, or cashier duties as needed. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs.

Must haves:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have a valid driver's license and have been driving for at least 2 years.
  • Energetic, outgoing and can stand, run, and carry items, up to 50lbs, if needed.

Hospitality Valet Parking Supervisor – Responsibilities

1. Guest Service

  • Provide excellent and professional service to hotel guests and visitors.
  • Greet guests promptly and assist with luggage when needed.
  • Ensure guests receive a positive and welcoming arrival and departure experience.
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and hospitality-focused attitude at all times.

2. Valet Operations

  • Supervise daily valet parking operations and ensure smooth vehicle flow.
  • Coordinate vehicle retrieval, parking, and delivery to guests.
  • Ensure all vehicles are handled safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor valet tickets and ensure vehicles are properly documented.
  • Conduct regular checks of the valet parking area and front drive.
  • Ensure the valet area remains clean, organized, and free of unnecessary congestion.

3. Team Leadership

  • Supervise, coach, and motivate valet attendants.
  • Assign positions and responsibilities based on business volume and staffing needs.
  • Conduct shift briefings and communicate important information to the team.
  • Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, uniforms, and overall performance.
  • Train new employees on valet procedures, guest service, safety, and hotel standards.
  • Address performance issues promptly and document them when appropriate.

4. Cash & Revenue Control

  • Ensure all parking transactions are processed accurately.
  • Monitor cash, credit card, and electronic parking transactions.
  • Review shift reports and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.
  • Verify discounts, validations, complimentary parking, and event rates.
  • Report discrepancies immediately to management.
  • Protect company and hotel revenue by following established parking procedures.

5. Safety & Vehicle Protection

  • Ensure employees follow safe driving and parking procedures.
  • Inspect vehicles for existing damage when required by company policy.
  • Report accidents, vehicle damage, guest incidents, or other safety concerns immediately.
  • Ensure keys are properly organized and secured.
  • Monitor the valet area for hazards and unsafe conditions.
  • Follow all hotel, Propark, and OSHA-related safety procedures.

6. Hotel Coordination

  • Maintain strong communication with the Front Desk, Bell Services, Security, Housekeeping, and hotel management.
  • Coordinate valet operations during high-occupancy periods, conferences, weddings, and special events.
  • Communicate parking rates, event procedures, hotel policies, and guest requests to the team.
  • Assist hotel management with special parking arrangements and VIP guests.

7. Technology & Equipment

  • Monitor parking equipment, gates, ticket machines, payment systems, radios, and other operational equipment.
  • Report equipment failures immediately.
  • Ensure employees properly use parking systems and communication devices.
  • Follow up with management or vendors regarding unresolved equipment issues.

8. Shift Management

  • Complete opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure adequate staffing throughout the shift.
  • Conduct regular lot and front-drive inspections.
  • Maintain shift logs and document important incidents.
  • Complete required daily checklists and operational reports.
  • Ensure proper shift-to-shift communication.

Hospitality Valet Parking Supervisor – Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality, valet parking, parking operations, or customer service experience preferred.
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a hotel, resort, parking, transportation, or hospitality environment preferred.
  • Strong guest service and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests, hotel staff, and management.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and motivate valet attendants while maintaining high service standards.
  • Knowledge of valet parking procedures, vehicle handling, ticket control, key management, and front-drive operations.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to safely drive and park guest vehicles, including a variety of vehicle types.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm during high-volume periods and special events.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills when handling guest concerns or service issues.
  • Ability to monitor parking revenue, transactions, tickets, validations, and daily shift reports accurately.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use parking systems, POS systems, communication applications, and hotel-related technology.
  • Ability to conduct shift inspections, employee attendance checks, and operational checklists.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and accident/incident reporting.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Professional appearance and commitment to hotel and company standards.
  • Ability to enforce company policies fairly and consistently while maintaining positive employee relations.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus in a diverse hospitality environment.

Key Leadership Qualifications

A strong valet supervisor should demonstrate:

Leadership + Guest Service + Accountability + Safety + Revenue Awareness + Teamwork + Communication.

For a hotel valet operation, I would also recommend requiring the supervisor to be able to train new attendants, conduct pre-shift meetings, audit valet operations, resolve guest complaints, monitor vehicle/key security, and communicate effectively with hotel management.
